Invesco's market outlook in early 2025
Invesco's cryptoasset outlook published in early 2025 discussed potential effects of changes in policy, institutional participation and investment channels. These were the institution's views at that time, not VBIT forecasts for subsequent market performance. See Invesco's January 2025 outlook (PDF).
Policy, ETFs and tokenisation
The report focused on clearer policy, Bitcoin ETFs, macroeconomics and tokenisation. These factors may change how people access assets and participate in markets, but do not eliminate price, liquidity or custody risks.
ETFs versus directly holding Bitcoin
Holding fund units differs from holding BTC that can be transferred on-chain. Terms, fees and custody arrangements differ. Fund arrangements should not be interpreted as the cash-trading process at a store.
How should historical institutional forecasts be read?
Check the publication date and assumptions, then distinguish events that occurred from expectations. Forecasts can be wrong. A past optimistic outlook is not a current reason to buy or a guarantee of returns.
For trade directions involving directly held BTC, see the Bitcoin Buying Guide and BTC selling service. Before trading, read the wallet and settlement safety information.
