Our in-store OTC services

VBIT Hong Kong provides Bitcoin buying and selling, exchange of other supported assets, USDT/USDC cash-out and large OTC trades at physical stores in Hong Kong. Read about the services online or use official WhatsApp to request a quote and book a visit, then transact at a store.

HKD is settled in cash at the store only. USDT is for customers to sell for HKD; we do not sell USDT to customers. See OTC services and trade directions, Buying and Selling and Cash Out.

Transaction checks and AML/CFT

Under our current anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-financing of terrorism (CFT) terms, all customers must provide accurate, up-to-date identity documents before using our services for identity verification. We reserve the right to carry out reasonable verification enquiries.

The CFT terms also require customers to declare the source of funds lawfully and reserve our right to investigate it. We monitor transactions under our formal policies, handle suspicious transaction reports as required and may reasonably refuse service to individuals or entities suspected of money laundering or terrorist financing.

Quotes, transfer risks and transaction records

Cryptocurrency prices fluctuate. After checking online information, confirm the trade quote and settlement amount with the store before transacting. Online reference prices are not a commitment to execute a trade.

Before transferring, check the asset, blockchain network, receiving address and amount. On-chain transactions require confirmation. An incorrect address or network may cause asset loss; recovery cannot be assumed. Keep store receipts and on-chain transaction IDs to check amounts, addresses and transaction status.

Confidentiality of customer identity and transaction information

Section 5 of the current AML terms and section 7 of the CFT terms require customer identity and transaction information to be kept confidential, except where disclosure is required by law. Identity checks, transaction monitoring and legally required handling of suspicious transactions follow the formal terms.
